…rled like a fetus
in the womb of her despair
that has her trauma-bonded
in the net of his dark past
A long-dead father
who returns in the night
to drag his boy from his bed
yelling for his mother
to come and save him
She, his chosen one, his wife,
bondaged to her man
too afraid to love or leave…
She’s the Anchor to Their Reality
