Waiting

Still as death
Patiently waiting
On scaffolding
Of it’s own making
Gentle breeze
Waves of silk
Glint of sunlight
The bee flies
Against a tripwire
A foot is caught
A fight ensues
A stinger flashes
Eight eyes follow
Controlling lines
The bee flies free
The spider waits
