I AM THE COSMOS: AN UNENDING WHOLE

Me, Both Sides of This Snowy Screen

An inner creation in ottava rima

The snow is really coming down right now.
Flakes falling furiously on both screens.
The inside and the outside, both somehow
fall silent, quieting these snowy scenes.
The flittering of birds and thoughts allow
me to fall back. Self centered thoughts now dreams.
It’s all too real or maybe none of it.
It’s all the same and over in a bit.

I slip back into slumber once or twice.
Twigs twisting in the self negating wind.
A single snowflake silently does slice
this endless moment time cannot rescind.
A drop of mist then crash of crystal ice.
Was it me falling? Knees and elbows skinned.
My thoughts are twisting turning with the snow.
I might as well just shovel ‘till I know.
