Emergency Use Authorization

A sonnet

Emergency use authorization?
Do we use the twenty-fifth amendment?
Is the president an aberration?
Opposing sides ever find contentment?

Potential collapse isn’t unforeseen.
Need to stop intentional ignorance.
You can’t buy past cast votes with a vaccine.
With lies and truth, some know the difference.

Some not sure what democracy denotes.
They say we better remember who’s king.
Strong man orders, and boasts, can’t erase votes.
Most people don’t want what the fascists bring.

A plague has come over this fearful land.
Inauguration Day, Trump Show disbands.
