Electoral College Voted (Biden/Harris Won)

A Sonnet

First Monday after the second Wednesday,
In December, once in every four years,
The Electoral College forms this day.
The final presidential vote occurs.

The only thing left is counting the vote.
Apportioned to the states, the final say.
Five hundred thirty-eight electors note,
How they cast ballots, this Election Day.

Putting aside federalism, versus,
Who won the popular vote, argument.
Rules are the rules. In what universe is,
Joe Biden, not the future president?

Time for national moment of silence.
Stop these credible threats of violence.
