THE MARRIAGE OF M AND A.K.

Anthi M, There’s No Place Like Greece

A sonnet

An EF five hits fair M’s, wooden heart
Splintering petals the deepest of blue.
Our Emerald City waiting to start,
Wedding of Anthi and you know who.

At this reception, we all will gather.
It would be nice to be there in person.
Yet now no uncle’s incessant blather
And no webs for Athena to worsen.

An owl surveyed the scene so protean
And fought off, in love with love, multitudes
On speck of land out in the Aegean,
May Zeus look over His defender’s moods.

To love of all loves and those we do friend
I wish this time would never ever end.
