Magnolia blooms with blue sky

See red winged blackbird through the window pane.
The storm has lifted. Sunlight’s shining bright
through hazy soft evaporating rain.
Walk out the door. A fine May day’s in sight.

Goldfinch’s yellow feathers flutter cheer.
Joy can not be denied. Some clouds float by.
I feel a chill as wind…
